The green core
The green core of be-Nature
There is sometimes ambiguity about the exact location of the green core. It is good to know that you cannot see the location of be-Nature from the outside. It is located behind the northern facade facing the dive center, and behind the eastern facade facing the adventure mountain. Behind these facades, the buildings are preserved to a depth of 20 meters for a new use. Further back, space has been created, what architects call pitted. That spot will be the center of be-Nature.
The basis remains
Much of the old interior is being removed. Only the impressive skeleton of beams and columns will remain. Some important, large machinery also remains.
Magnificent view
A walk through the structure not only lets you admire the amalgamation of history and nature up close. You can also climb up to the chapel. This is located at the highest point of all the buildings and rises as high as the shaft trestles. Your hike will thus be rewarded with a magnificent view.
Space for greenery
The vacated space can be completely occupied by greenery. This creates a unique concept where industrial heritage and nature merge.
Visitors are central
Visitors should not experience this unique spectacle from a distance. On the contrary. Paths allow hikers to see and experience everything up close.
