The Sporenpark
The Sporenpark is a unique place where the history of the railroad is still visible, but where nature now plays the main role. Wildflowers, shrubs and trees grow along the old tracks, making the park a haven for various species of birds, insects and other animals.
Sporenpark can be discovered through the various hiking and biking trails that wind through the area. The paths follow the old railroad lines and offer a varied landscape of open fields, forests and marshes. Rest areas have been set up at various places in the park where you can enjoy the view and the silence of nature.
In addition to nature, the sporenpark also has an educational function. Information boards have been placed along the paths that tell about the history of the track, its transformation into a nature reserve, and the flora and fauna found there today. This makes the park not only a place to relax, but also to learn and discover.
