Impressive images of transformation in coal washes be-MINE: ‘Everything here was still as it was left’
The past months, a lot has been going on at be-MINE and especially in coal washes 1 and 3 for the realisation of be-NATURE !
Since the start of works on 13 May 2024, a huge amount of work has already been done.
For example:
- 80% of the building cleared
- 530 tons of steel, or 14 full trucks, removed
- 700 m³ of coal moved – equivalent to +/- 4 football fields
Still, milestones we are proud to share. The difference with the way things were is huge!
NEXT STEPS
We are currently working hard with the further dismantling of the building. A solid and challenging project, with a beautiful end result in sight!
In the spring, we will also officially open the doors of the new cycling and walking path under the coal washes. The path is 95% finished, we are just waiting for the lighting. The route offers you a special glimpse into the rich mining history of be-MINE Beringen.
