Seen on TVL: be-MINE is 10 years old

The tenth anniversary of be-MINE will be celebrated in Beringen on Saturday. After the mines closed, a whole new town arose on the former mining site. On the spot where miners from Limburg used to extract coal, there is currently a diving centre, an adventure mountain, a climbing centre, a residential area, a school, a shopping centre, a residential care centre, a Sportoase and a mining museum. The Limburg investment company LRM has even more plans for the site. In the short film ‘Uit de Put’, LRM gives Limburg a look at the transition from the mining past to the present and future of Beringen told by the miners. The film can be seen for the first time on TV Limburg, on 9 and 10 September (until 18:00) and 11 September (at 10:00).
