be-NATURE is in the midst of development. Step by step, the site is being redeveloped, with the iconic coal washes being repurposed <\/b>and the unique combination of nature, heritage and experience taking center stage. In this way, be-MINE continues to grow into an attractive destination for visitors, entrepreneurs and partners. <\/p>

Behind the scenes, the transformation of the coal washes is underway. In the meantime, the demolition work is well advanced. More than 2,000 tons of steel have already been removed<\/b> during the dismantling of the existing structures. <\/p>

Work started at a height of 40 meters<\/b> and has since dropped to 16 meters<\/b>. In the process, the concrete is removed step by step, while the steel framework<\/b> and structure of the building are preserved. Thus, the industrial character of the site remains visible. <\/p>

<\/p>

Nature will also have a prominent place in the building. Greenery will be integrated on different levels, with the vertical park<\/b> and a tree<\/b> that will even be planted at a height of 26 meters<\/b> as striking elements. <\/p>

With be-NATURE, we continue to build on the future of be-MINE as a strong tourist and recreational destination<\/b>. But the project also creates new opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors by repurposing the building. <\/p>

<\/p>

“Much of the area will hopefully serve for a hotel<\/b>. That is our priority,” says Karolien Sas, director of be-MINE nv. With this, be-MINE wants to capitalize on the limited overnight accommodations in the region and offer visitors the chance to stay longer on and around the site. <\/p>

<\/p>

In addition to the hotel concept, there remains room for other initiatives<\/b> that fit the unique site. Think of leisure, hospitality, creative concepts or other entrepreneurial projects.
